Selmer Bundy II As A Good SAxophone?
I was looking on craigslist again and i saw a better deal on another sax. It was a Selmer and i know that is a very good brand, and the saxophone was selling for 125. I am willing to put up 100 for repairs and etc. I just want to know if the Bundy series of Selmer is good because they don't have it on musicansfriend or any other big online music store. So I am a bit skeptical. Well all help is appreciated , thanks
You are right to be skeptical. I really think you ought to look into a new instrument. Buying anything used (especially wind instruments) usually entails buying someone else's problem. Unlike stringed instruments, most woodwinds do not improve with age - rather, they deteriorate.
There are lots and lots of great deals on horns these days, especially in a weak economy. I'm willing to bet that you can get a good deal from an online etailer that may cost a few hundred more, but is still a bargain.
Buying a Bundy is like really wanting a classic Fender Stratocaster and settling for an Esquire. That should make sense to you, right?
