Which would be the better choice, a Zephyr trumpet or a LJ Hutchen trumpet?
Buying a beginner trumpet on a serious budget!
While I've never played either, they both have good reviews on Amazon. There is a review on the Zephyr 600S written by an actual trumpet player and not a parent, which is good info. The Zephyr horns have the first valve slide welded on, which usually denotes a more professional horn. If you can afford one of the silver plated models, I would go with the Zephyr personally.Just realize that if you use it in marching band, you'll have to get a special flip-folder attachment that grips around the top of the tuning slide.
If you are willing to buy a used horn, Craigslist can yield some deals as well.
Happy playing!!
