What is a really good piece for trumpet?
I'm a first year trumpet major in my undergrad, and I'm looking for some fun pieces to practice on the side.

i don't know if you would find these pieces challenging, but i personally like the pieces, Get On Down, the theme song to Iron Man, Handel For Christmas, and Land of A Thousand Dances. I also think this book would help you a lot.

our band used this book, and it has many lively, and fun pieces. It also has Pomp, and Circumstance, Laredo, and, the song from the Titanic My Heart Will Go On. I also liked Carnival of Venice, which someone mentioned earlier. i forgot who composed it, but i do know it is VERY old and it is quite challenging, but learning it is fun. It also has quite a few dramatic twists in it for the trumpet part because the composer was trying to make the people think the song was going to end so they would be surprised. I really like the songs, and the book i mentioned earlier and i hope you do too.
